Vidaview Life Story Board™ is an innovative and versatile visual communication tool that enables diverse modes of expression, sharing, and reflection. 

This  training workshop in the Life Story Board is for: counsellors, therapists, social workers in  helping professions; and for researchers and grad students  as an interview tool in  narrative,  social research applications.

The workshop is an engaging mix of presentation, discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice. Come see for yourself (purchase not required).

The Training Team of Rob Chase MD and Sabrina La Tona RSW will

  • Discuss diverse applications
  • Basic orientation to the Life Story Board Toolkit
  • Afternoon is small group experiential practice

Rob Chase MD, Dept. of Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba

Rob is  Occupational Health Physician at LAMP Occupational Health Program, Toronto since 1988 and is assistant professor at University of Manitoba. He developed  Life Story Board methods out of  pilot tests and research with war affected children in Sri Lanka in the 1990s  into a  versatile expressive tool for counselling and social research applications. He has delivered  LSB training workshops and presentations in Canada, Australia,  Sri Lanka and Bhutan.

Sabrina La Tona MSW, RSW, CACPT  intern, Social Work Case Manager at North York Family Health Team, Toronto

Sabrina has  twelve years Social Work experience with children/adolescent with complex needs, adults and families, working in multidisciplinary settings and private practice. She uses LSB through a trauma, attachment and play therapy lens.

  • Membership in Vidaview’s ‘LSB Aftercare’ secure private discussion forum to share questions, comments and experiences of other LSB users and training team.

To use the LSB comfortably with clients takes some hours of study, play and practice to familiarize with  the Storyboarding process and  your specific use. To facilitate this learning curve, we can arrange clinical supervision and an  After Care Package  offer workshop participants  with 1-on-1 time with LSB trainer/supervisor.  Aftercare includes practice activities, readings, and rehearsal of clinical scenarios, customized to your particular setting, under the guidance of the LSB trainer via video meetings or in person if possible.
